Refresh Your Army Uniform

Storage, Repairs, And Cleaning Steps
Products that you purchase through a supplier should come enclosed in a waterproof container. If you will not immediately be securing the insignia to your uniform, open the package that your products come and check to make sure that the contents in your package are complete. Compare the products against your packing order. Then, replace the insignia back inside of the storage pouches or cases that they were shipped in.
Before you add the new gear to your uniform, have your uniform laundered and pressed. This will prevent you from needing to remove any of the adornments at a later date. Repairs may be able to be made to some of the existing insignia. Loose stripes can be sewn back onto the garment. This sewing process should be completed by a tailor. The thread color that was originally used to sew the other stripes on will be matched and used to secure the new fabric pieces.
Pins may need to be polished. Observe old pins for signs of wear. Use an approved cleaner to wipe off smudges and grime that are on each pin. Avoid using scouring tools or rough sponges to perform this step. A lint-free cloth that is soft will work best for polishing metal pins.
